About Great Dane Capital
Great Dane Capital is a privately held investment company that focuses on the acquisition and management of value-add multifamily properties. We specialize in repositioning well located assets in emerging markets to protect investor capital and provide high yield returns.
Our core mission of protecting our investment partners’ capital begins with our sole focus on multifamily properties. The firm’s strategy focuses on improving Class B & C apartment communities in secondary and tertiary markets nationwide. Historically, multifamily has been the least volatile real estate asset class during downturns while still offering strong upside potential during upturns. Within multifamily, Class B & C provides one of the most attractive investment opportunities due to the imbalance between the strong and growing demand and limited new supply of these units.
Our Managing Partners
Lenny Bendo
Co-Founder & Managing Partner with Great Dane Capital, headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
Lenny has worked for more than two decades in the consumer packaged goods industry for three Fortune 200 companies. He spent his first 10 years with The Pillsbury (now part of General Mills) in various sales, management & category development roles. From there, he was recruited by Johnson & Johnson to lead the category management initiative for their Acuvue contact lens brand at Walmart, Costco, and other mega-retailers. He closed his corporate career with another 10 years at the HJ Heinz Company (now KraftHeinz) in HQ sales management, international business development for the emerging markets, global systems implementation, and most recently serving as their global Chief Diversity & Inclusion Officer.
He has made the shift into the multi-family real estate space and are working investment deals throughout key markets nationwide. Utilizing a vast network of professionals, he and his GDC managing partner are experiencing the exciting realm of CRE investing.
In his spare time, he serves on the Board of Directors for the award-winning History Center in Orlando, Florida (after chairing as Board President for 3 terms); serves on the Board of Directors for one of the largest fraternities in North America, Lambda Chi Alpha; and volunteers in senior leadership with the American Legion Boys State premier youth leadership programs (Florida, California, Arkansas & Boys Nation).
Chad Brinkerhuff
Co-Founder & Managing Partner with Great Dane Capital, headquartered in Orlando, Florida.
Chad has a Bachelor of Science in Horticulture from Michigan State University, and continued at the University of Hawaii pursuing his masters in Horticulture, specializing in Micro-Propogation.
He served as the Curator of the Orchid Collection for the world-reknowned Marie Selby Botanical Gardens in Sarasota, FL; Show Chairman for the Central Florida Orchid Society; and Social Media Admin for the American Orchid Society.
He has encompassed an incredibly broad range of experience in multiple fields, matching his many interests and vast knowledge. His experience includes small business revival (Porters Orchids, XS Fitness, Tants Plants); property management (3 terms as President of the Board of Directors for the Silverwoods HOA in Windermere, FL); multiple positions within the fitness industry (NASM-certified Personal Trainer, Gracor Fitness; Front Desk Supervisor & Expansion Trainer, 24hr Fitness Oahu; and Recreations Supervisor, Wyndham Orlando); and his own entrepreneurship in dog training, with a specialty in behavioral correction and large breeds (especially Great Danes).
